Stainless steel bevel gearboxes are designed for applications in special environmental conditions. To meet the high standards and hygienic requirements of the food, chemical and petrochemical industries, housings and shafts are made of 1.4401 grade stainless steel. The GLEASON spiral bevel gears ensure very smooth running and high efficiency. All bevel gearboxes are factory equipped with AGIP BLASIA 150 synthetic oil for life-long lubrication.
The gearboxes are optionally available with one or two output shafts with 1:1 and 2:1 ratios. Stainless steel bevel gearboxes are designed for an input speed of 1,400 per minute. Compliance with this speed range allows for a service life of 10,000 hours during operation under full load. Higher speeds are only permissible for short periods. Bevel gearboxes are designed for an operating temperature of -18°C to +80°C.
The normal circumferential backlash is 15 to 30 angular minutes. Standard shaft seal rings are made of NBR plastic which is characterised by high abrasion resistance. Quality ball bearings are used for shaft bearing assembly. They allow relatively high radial and axial shaft loads due to their selected dimensioning.
